In 2017 there will be medal guarantee to the first 200 entrants in the 5k, 10k and Half and a cap of 200 shirts for the 5k, 10k and Half.

Youth will receive  a Youth medal. Capped at 75 participants. (date TBD)

We will do onsite signup Saturday April 22 6PM-9PM and early Sunday April 23 7AM-8:15AM

BIBS will be color coded for Sundays events …Run Our Shore by 5/10/Half.

In your KIT there will be a Map …it is your responsibility to know where YOU are going. We feel signage is solid and supervision on the routes strong. Signs / Marked pavement / volunteers. Water stations every 3KM.

IF you pick up your kit Saturday night , return to get your timing CHIP at the START area Saturday. SUNDAY all ankle chips will be distributed at the START get these after picking up your kit at Queens Place.

A reception for  all entrants will be held on the arena floor QUEENS PLACE EMERA CENTRE. Food, prize draws, special guests and awards.

SUNDAY the 5KM Run/Walk event is a great for locals! The route will take you near the entrance of the Port Mersey Commercial Park in Brooklyn and return to Queens Place.

SUNDAY the 10km (out and back) and Half Marathon (loop)take you through the communities of Brooklyn, Beach Meadows and towards Eagle Head.Run Nova Scotia Members must enter in a valid RunNS membership number and must enter “RNS” in the Promo Code box to receive the RunNS discount.

Sunday the Mobility Wheelchair event will take place at 9:30AM on the indoor arena track at Queens Place. Contact runourshore@gmail.com to register. Free to first 12 registered.

Friday April 21…YOUTH event.There will be 100 spots open. Youth will receive a medal.FREE. Ages 4-6, 7-9, 10-12. The event location beautiful Pine Grove Park, Milton. Youth run will start at 6PM (register 5PM at Pine Grove).

TIME: 7 A.M. to 8:15 A.M.

EVENT DAY
Date: SUNDAY APRIL 23,2017

TIME: 9:15 a.m. Register $35.00 plus fees
5 KM Event- This year a WALK/RUN on the road!
[open to 10 years of age or greater]

The only event that includes a WALK is the 5KM. Starts in the side parking lot at Queens Place Emera Centre head down Old Cobbs Barn Road and turn left onto Highway #3.Proceed to the Port Mersey  site in Brooklyn. At this point 2.5KM you will turn and return to Queens Place Emera Centre. Again you can WALK or run this route.

TIME: 9:00 a.m. Register $45.00 plus fees
10 KM Event-
[ open to 14 years of age or greater ]

The 10 KM (out and back) race will leave the side parking lot and proceed down Old Cobbs Barn Road turning left onto Highway#3. Run to the bridge near the Port Mersey site and and at 2.8km proceed right into Brooklyn taking in some great waterfront scenery then down Brooklyn Shore Road turning just past Mount Pleasant Road the 5K mark and back to Queens Place Emera Centre. Route has some gentle inclines.

TIME: 8:35 a.m. Register $60.00 plus fees
Half Marathon –
21.1 KM [open to 16 years of age or greater]

The Half Marathon race (Loop) will leave the side parking lot  proceed down Old Cobbs Barn Road turning left onto Highway #3. Run to the bridge at 2.8km near the Port Mersey Commericla Park site and proceed right into Brooklyn taking in some great waterfront scenery then down Brooklyn Shore Road. You will continue along some scenic ocean views as far as Beach Meadows and at the intersection with the Church at 9.3km as your guide you will cross the road and continue towards Eagle Head. Make your way to Eagle Head look for the turn at 11.55km and you will then be on your way back down Eastern Shore Road and to Queens Place Emera Centre for your big Finish!Depending on your level of running you will find the route presents you various challenges.Note check your map if you ran this event last year a slight change on your mid point ‘turn’.

    Great run. Very challenging, but nice route. Lots of scenery and not much traffic. Great job organizing. I will be putting this race in my schedule to kick off every year now
